Filtering Serial Chart Results and has Cannot Access Data Error

Hi community,

I'm working on a Dashboard for invasive plant management, and I'm working on creating a serial chart showing trends in observations for a specific list of plant species. 

I keep getting a "Cannot access data" error when I use the dashboard.

I'm not sure if there's a mistake I'm making, or it's the layer itself.

For Context:

• I'm using the Esri- supported live feed for iNaturalist Observations on Living Atlas, and had filtered / queried to a specific list of species on the web map (not in the dashboard itself)

 

• The only action configured is when a user selects a National Park unit, the serial chart should be updated based on the Park unit boundary

 

• When I'm in the settings of the serial chart, it populates quite well. However, when I save and wait for it to load, it will pop up the error and nothing gets displayed

I'm experiencing something similar, where we have a dashboard that filters by a protected area ID using a URL parameter. One of the Serial charts behaves as expected until there is no data for a protected area; when that occurs, the "Cannot access data" error displays rather than the "No data" label that was configured in the Serial chart.  When we refresh the browser, then the "No data" label does appear as expected.
