hi. i am using ArcGIS Pro 3.3.1. I have joined data from my csv file to a shapefile. both datasets have the same column name (sub_cat) with the same data. i use this to do the join. after the join when i check the attribute table i see all the information as it should be. however once i try export the data (data and then export features). i save it all correctly which i have done many times before without issue. when i open the new shapefile and check the attribute table the column names are still there but all the values are zero. i have attached pictures to show.
I did recently update to version 3.3.1 from version 3.2 so i dont know if thats part of the problem.
Try converting the csv to a geodatabase table and the shapefile to a featureclass in a locally stored geodatabase
Then use Join Field (Data Management)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation to make the join permanent
Export the resultant featureclass to a shapefile
The above process will rule out issues with the input data and the shortcut procedures with using non-geodatabase data
