Is Workforce the right tool for work order system?

Hello.  I am looking for a better system for managing our sewer system work.  From what i have seen, it looks like Workforce may do what we need.

I'm looking for a work order system that allows us to select an asset from our sewer GIS maps, and then create a work order (inspections, repairs, new installs).  I also need to be able to track completed work.

Is this the kind of thing that Workforce was intended for?

If yes, I have created a new project, but do not know how to get my sewer map data to show up.

Any advice for someone just dipping their toes into Workforce?  thanks!

I am currently using 'tasks' for my cemetery but my O & M dept is looking for a way to create work orders. Right know the field crew is using EXB with tablets and doing inspections that way. I have table views to only show the latest inspection in a dashboard for the supervisors but now I'd like to create work orders online and track them this way. They run completely off of Microsoft right now so field maps won't work for me and I do know that Workforce is retiring and that field maps is suppose to replace it. What can I do??

Any updates on this? Workforce is overkill for what I need, hoping this new Field Tasks will fit the bill. I haven't been able to find any information on it anywhere else though.

Our estimated delivery of the new Field Tasks functionality in Field Maps is summer of 2025.
