Question about included layers / functionality with Creator license.

Question

Hi everyone. I am thinking about buying the Creator license with AGOL and want to be sure I know what I'm getting.

1)  Does Esri have a database of importable layers that paid users can access? Like state hydrography maps, state counties, and HUC8 watersheds for example? Or is it all pretty generic?

2)  Does this license type allow for line/feature buffering? A big project I'll be working on is riparian area, and I figure it will be easier to just draw a line at the mid-channel and buffer it with the appropriate width instead of drawing polygons and measuring area. I want to make sure this feature is available.

I used AGOL with my old job in a very limited capacity. I know enough to know that I don't know nearly enough! Thanks for any answers.

1) AGOL has a feature where you can pull publicly-shared layers into your map. ESRI itself doesn't necessarily provide these, and whether or not you can download and edit it is up to whoever posted it. Alternatively, the layers you listed are possibly available for download from the state's GIS data portal. Depends on whether you wanted it to automatically update in your map whenever the data steward updates it (like it will if you pull it through AGOL) or if you wanted to be able to manipulate the data yourself (easier if you can download it).
