Can't trace a utility network in ArcGIS Field Maps

Hello,

I'm working with Enterprise 11.1 and Utility Network version 6. First, I have already published a web map that has been configured for utility network. Next, this web map was used in Experience Builder, and it can be traced by Utility Network Trace widget. Then I used the same web map in Field Maps to trace, but it did not work. There is no named trace shown in the panel. I have tried republishing the web map, and it still can't be traced.

Do you have any suggestions for this?

Hello,

Can you please provide a screenshot of the Add Trace Configuration tool configuration from ArcGIS Pro that was used to create the trace that was published with the map?

This is setting for trace downstream, other setting is the default value.

Thanks for sharing the screenshots. I'm not seeing any issues with the trace configurations. A couple other questions:

What is the version of Field Maps being used?
What mobile platform is being used (iOS or Android)?
Does the mobile user have the utility network user type extension enabled?
Are you able to see other trace configurations in Field Maps (ex. image below)?

I tested on both platforms iOS version 24.1.1 and Android version 24.1.3. This account is a creator user type that enables utility network extension. In the ArcGIS Field Maps app, I don't see any trace on the panel. I just see the edit button on both platforms as you can see in the attached picture. When I opened the troubleshooting and view logs, I found the utility network license problem.

I certainly this account enables utility network extension, but I don't know why it can't see the license in the ArcGIS Field Maps.

Do you have any suggestions to solve this?

Hi,

Same problem here, but slightly different. I see 5 Trace Configurations in Map Viewer / ExB, but I see only 4 of these in Field Maps. The "Shortest path" trace configuration is not visible.

The only different thing I did is that the fifth Trace Configuration was created after some days, but I also tried republishing the web map from scratch... still 4 trace configurations...

Any advice?

Hello @lzorloni ,

This is expected behavior with shortest path trace configurations. Field Maps does not support setting multiple start locations which is a requirement for a shortest path trace.

I am experiencing this issue with AGE 11.5 with UN version 7, tested with a connected trace and a downstream trace (digitised direction), both are displaying and executing in ExB and Web Editor, but not Field Maps (current version on Android tablet).

Update following my last message; if you go into Field Maps and view the logs via the profile icon, I was getting an error associated with another trace configured by someone else that was trying to look at a field that didn't exist. As soon as I deactivated that trace and saved the web map, the others display and execute in Field Maps as expected.

Looks like ExB and Web Editor are more forgiving when it comes to this. Hopefully this will help others on this thread.
