Zooming to a level based on a condition

Hi,
I have a situation where I want the map to be zoomed to a level based on a condition likeif(location="Street"){ //zoom should make even the streets visible } else if(location="postal"){ //zoom should be slightly less than Street level } else if(location="city"){ //zoom to city level - just cities need to be visible }

How should I do this?
