Add data by category button

I have a client that wants me to make an experience app with functionality similar to this ESRI content viewer: Esri Nederland Content-viewer (arcgis.com)

The main idea is that they want the users to be able to select content by category. I've taken a look at the ESRI content viewer and it seems like they just query results from particular groups. Can I do something similar with the default functionality in EB, or will I have to write some custom functionality myself?

You can curate collections using the Add Data widget. Please refer to the documentation here. Notably, you can always drag and drop the curated collection to the top.
