Greetings!
I have several problems w/georeferencing in Pro that I did not have in Map, and I encountered a new one today.
When creating control points, Pro tries to snap the "from" point to the "to" point. Meaning, I create the initial point on the image, and then attempt to create the corresponding point on the basemap, and Pro tries to snap the second point to a location on the basemap - and not a point I want to snap to. This happened when there were no other layers in the map. It was a completely empty map doc, other than the basemap and the png, so there shouldn't have been anything for it to snap to. But it kept trying to snap to a point where I didn't want the corresponding control point.
So, I used the space bar to suspend snapping, as I would when editing points in a shapefile or something like that. But when I did that while georefencing, it would turn the png layer back on so I could no longer see the baselayer and the place where I was trying to create the control point. Trying to adjust the transparency between every control point so I can see what I'm trying to connect to is a whole separate headache, and sometimes the points just disappear when I use that method.
Has anyone encountered this and do you have any advice?
I am beyond disappointed that the separate viewer window that existed in Map is not available in Pro, because that would solve so many problems. I have to say that georeferencing works much better in Pro - when I can get it to work. But I have so much more trouble creating control points and getting it to work because the viewer window is gone, and now there is this weird snapping issue.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
