Live connection database with other inside organisation

I work using Esri Enterprise within an organization and I want to connect directly to the database in the IT department of the same organization. What are the methods and mechanisms that help this work?

You can connect to other databases using options in the map ribbon of Pro. A connection will also depend upon the credentials (like a username and/or a password) required by IT’s database.
