How to calculate square root in dynamic text expression?

I'm designing an experience that requires a calculation with a square root. In the text widget dynamic content expression builder, there are basic math functions available, but I can't figure out how to get the square root of a variable. Is this even possible?

Dynamic Content does not appear to support square roots or exponents. Your best option would be to add a calculated field to your feature layer that finds the square root.
