Tree canopy branch spread proportionate directional measurements

Good morning,

I am trying to produce a map for a tree survey in which I need to display the tree canopy with directional measurements.

I have looked at the proportionate sizing and it doesn't look to be the correct function. The image below shows what I am trying to achieve. The symbology needs to display a central point, along with 4 measurements from this central point.

Any ideas on how to achieve this would be very welcome.

If the point symbol being used is a distorted shape (so it is not perfectly round), then the rotation field can be used to rotate the symbol so that the distorted shape faces the direction you want.

@JoannaWhittier The problem with using a polygon is that there is a central point and the canopy extends in a set distance in each direction from this central point.

@MervynLotter Can the size element be used to distort proportions of the symbol to show specific distance from a central point?

You should be able to change both size and rotation using the Vary Symbology By Attribute pane. See the attached image. In this screenshot I have used my GROUP field as input to rotation and SUBTYPE field as input to size.
