OpenAsync in embeddable control of MapTool

Hi,

I have noticed that the OpenAsync method in EmbeddableControl class of any MapTool is called multiple times. What is the reason for that?

Is there any clean way to know whether the OpenAsync method is called already when MapTool is opened for the first time?
