Browse/Add Data nonresponsive

I have an issue with my Add Data/ Browse buttons in GIS. They all get non responsive when I click on them and my app gets non responsive until I push Esc button. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my app and have the last version installed now. However the issue is still there. Worth mentioning that I am connected to a vpn and my company server. What could the problem be and how can I solve it?
