Updatable Map attributes

Hello,

I am trying to create an online map with the following features:

-Can be shared with anyone

-Attributes can be edited by authorized users, preferably able to include people who do not have an ArcGis account

What would be ideal: have a .csv or some similar file in a network location that the arcgis online map/dashboard would reference. 

Any ideas? I understand that dashboard may not be the best option but I like the way it looks.

Hi Sam! While I haven't done something exactly like what you are asking, I do have some suggestions. Firstly, hosting a file on ArcGIS Online would be the best as it can be directly accessed in solutions such as Dashboards, Experiences, etc. The only problem is that editing settings are limited to one of the following:

• Everyone can edit the data
• Only those in your organization can edit the data
• Only you can edit the data

There is one workaround although it will require individuals to have an AGOL account. You can create a Group and only add authorized users to it. You can then allow only Group members to make edits. This will require that all Group members are either part of your organization or are in a "partnered collaboration" with your organization.

If you are aiming to just have the dashboard show a spreadsheet, then your original solution (hosting a spreadsheet somewhere and giving people viewing the dashboard read-only permissions) would work. You could also look into Survey123 as I believe it allows people to edit the data if they have access to the form. That could be a solution as long as you only provide the Survey to authorized members.
