Here's another Parcel Fabric 2Torial! A quick 2 minute tutorial showing new features, workflows or other topics.
Today's video details a commonly asked question.
Have you ever imported symbology or configured your parcel layers, only to lose your parcel seed symbology? We've had many ask how to get this back. Here's a quick tutorial on how to re-create that seed symbology and configure it to display in your map.
Additional Help
Thank you for this! I have applied this to a layer and it worked great.
However, I noticed afterwards that the template symbology for all the symbology classes has changed to the symbology for seeds.
Interestingly, when I look at the Template Properties for each of the symbology classes, I can still see the Drawing Symbol that should be in the template.
I also tried selecting all the template symbols, deleting them, then using the "Template For Layer" tool to re-create the templates.
However, that resulted in only 1 template being created for the whole layer, still with the Seed symbology.
Do you know how to get the template symbology to match what is showing in the Contents pane? Thanks very much.
Hey @Heather_Campbell
That's odd, I'm not seeing that on my end. When you created templates and symbology, did you have features in the map for all the types? I've seen issues where things get skewed if those features don't exist in the map. After I create the seed symbology the Templates all look good...
Maybe if you want to record your process and send me a video either on here or via email I could take a look.
Thanks,
Jason
It looks like I have this working now. I think it was just a user-error on my end at the time. Thanks for your reply!
