High Resolution Image Export

We are migrating our app from ArcObjects to ArcGIS Maps SDK and see that there is an ExportImage function that can be used to export the current map view image. In ArcObjects there was the option to select the resolution/DPI of the output image and meant you could get some incredible high res images. I have seen that the lack of this feature has been mentioned before on the forum and am wondering if this is a planned feature for a future release? We used the high resolution exports quite a lot and it would be a shame to not have that functionality anymore.
