Hi, I'm testing ArcGis online, and I'm having trouble loading my .shp files into Map Viewer. I compress the files to .zip, but I get the following message: file type is not supported. What am I doing wrong?
Hi @FidelPadilla , How many files does your compressed file have? Keep in mind that your zipped file must contain at least the .shp, .shx, .dbf, and .prj components of the shape. Does your zip include these files?More information here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/reference/shapefiles.htm
Hi, Roberto, thanks for answering, yes, my compressed files contain all these files, they are shapes produced by the small GIS that I manage, gvSIG, which works with all these elements.
Hi @FidelPadilla ,I see. If this is not sensitive data and you wish to share it, I can check it from my end and see if I find something that can help you.
Best,
