Create Widget with Spatial Query that updates feature with attributes

I'm new to the world of developing widgets so have just downloaded & installed the web app builder on my PC. I'm after a widget that is similar to the existing edit widget but when a user creates a new feature I need the widget to carry out a spatial query on 2 other layers & to then update the attribute table with the results of the query. E.g. if a point is created & it is contained within a name polygon this named polygon is then saved in the main feature class attribute table
