Experience Builder has so much potential, but we can't implement it until a batch editor capability is added. It is so convenient to be able to select multiple features and edit their attributes simultaneously rather than selecting one-by-one.
Agreed. We need this functionality, and are currently having to combine some elements from Exp. Builder and some from Web AppBuilder to achieve our desired workflow.
The Batch Editor Widget is high on our requirement's list for ArcGIS Experience Builder.
Our workflows require users to be able to select features on a map OR a table, and update the attributes values of ALL of those selected features at once. Users may be updating up to 50 features and cannot do this one at a time.
The Batch Attribute Editor in ArcGIS Web AppBuilder is an ideal workflow which needs to be incorporated into the Edit Widget in Experience Builder. I would go even further and suggest that the Editor Widget in Web Experience Builder adopt a similar user experience that can be found in ArcGIS Pro where the user interface allows the users to visualise the feature selection in a list below the layer selection (see image attached)
The features being edited also need to be driven from features selected from a table too, not just the map.
Batch editor (also filter) is also a highly desired tool for experience builder. I'd love to move away from WebApp onto experience builder but can't without tools such as this.
Our organization also needs this. The Java script updates are forcing us to Experience Builder only to find that batch editing is not an option. Why transition WAB users to Experience Builder if this isn't an option??
Yes this is needed functionality for users editing in the AGO environment
Our org also NEEDS batch editing. Just not practical to ask users to edit one-by-one after having batch editing with the existing WebApp builds. So frustrating how ESRI develops their new products and pushes their usage but they always seem to come with limitations. The new and improved products should at minimum MATCH the functionality and capabilities of the products they are replacing.
Unfortunately looks like its not on the roadmap for 2023 https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-experience-builder-blog/arcgis-experience-builder-2023-roadmap/ba-p/1248809
Yes, agreed! Our company would like this widget to be implemented in experience builder too. We are looking at migrating from Web App Builder to Experience Builder, and this functionality is required for us to move forward.
Agreed, Experience Builder is a non-starter for my organization without batch attribute editing.
I've just been presented with a need for this feature. Is this on the Dev team's roadmap?
This is a needed feature. Updating each field one by one is inefficient and Batch Update would streamline and save user a ton of time.
A decent but still not smooth work around we are using it to create a web app with the batch editor widget and embed it into a separate page in the Experience limiting it to that with some filter options. Our case is probably different in that we are using it to "Dispatch" existing assignments and the rest of the experience pages are dashboards, maps for creating assignments, etc, so it may not be applicable to all cases.
We have multiple web app builder apps with batch edit. Definitely need this to give the users the same experience when we have to convert to Experience Builder.
I wonder if the Experience Builder's native editor widget could be configured to allow batch editing multiple selected records?
When will batch attribute editor be added to Experience Builder? This is a high priority widget.
We require batch attribute editing for Experience Builder too. We have workflows in Web AppBuilder where we are editing hundreds of records at the same time.
Batch editing functionality is currently a work in progress and is in the product plan.
This is the only thing stopping us from completely moving all clients over to Experience Builder. At the moment we have a page on everyone's desktop interface with a WAB with one widget just waiting for this to happen.
When will this be implemented? Way too close to Web AppBuilder retirement not to have some of the basic functionality that was present.
We can create an app for our projects then turn around in a year and say it is being retired and have to create new apps for them at additional cost when we knew Web AppBuilder would be retired. We have some multi year projects starting now that we won't be able to change from in the middle but may be forced to use Web AppBuilder because we require batch attribute editing.
We need this sooner than later. Web Appbuilder will be retired soon and we need this function to be there in order to be able to do our work.
We need this capability to mark large areas of utility assets for inspections in our new Experience Builder apps. Marking them one by one is tedious when there's 50+ assets. The sooner the better.
I have been using experience builder exclusively for any new applications. Our company needs. However, I just had to build a new web app builder, less than a year before it is obsolete, because experience builder does not support batch editing. Please add this functionality.
When will batch attribute editor be added to Experience Builder? This is STILL a high priority widget.
Absolutely essential tool, when can we expect the functionality to be available?
Essential; no brainer. Add it now please.
Currently planned to be released in Q2/2024 afaik
@StefanUseldinger can you share the post for this?
It's unfortunate when so many utilities will be conducting Lead Service Line Inventory and have to resort to using the legacy Web-app builder.
Esri told us this at the German Esri conference. See: https://youtu.be/Bxs9l5HXnsI?feature=shared&t=1322
We're stuck in limbo with some of our maps on Experience Builder and some on WebApp. It's confusing to our end users, especially with the dependencies of WebApp on the Classic map viewer. We have to choose between taking advantage of new features in Field Maps/new map viewer and being able to use the bulk edit widget.
It's frustrating that the lack of the bulk edit widget has repercussions across the entire platform for us. Please prioritize this!
Is this still on track for Q2 in 2024? If so, what is the release date? I am creating an app and this absolutely necessary for the work flow
