Change default GPS unit of measure from meters to feet

I work on a team that requires accurate GPS data in order to track and locate newly installed underground features. Since we are located in the United States, we would like to have a US Feet option added for the unit of measure for GPS accuracy instead of the default meters option which is the only one available and cannot be changed.
