Greetings, in one of the direct educational courses, I took a stage in inserting an Excel file into the (Arc GIS Online) environment, and I had difficulty inserting the file because adding this file would enable me to convert it to a bitmap file and then perform the required analyzes, to help clarify the steps for adding a file The laxity of this environment and thank you, your friend Sabah from Iraq - Duhok.
File needs to be .csv not .xls.
In Excel, save it as a .csv and it will work to insert.
@kurdishbrwar to add a csv file to ArcGIS Online, you can find the documentation here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/reference/csv-gpx.htm
You can follow instructions in this lesson: https://learn.arcgis.com/en/projects/manage-data/arcgis-online/
And if your csv is not formatted with x/y or latitude/longitude values, try this lesson instead to learn how to geocode the data: https://learn.arcgis.com/en/projects/convert-a-list-of-historic-places-into-a-map/arcgis-online/
Greetings, thank you for your kind comment, I converted the excel file as you mentioned, but the problem lies in the Arc GIS Onlie environment, where I don't know how to add this file, the way to add the file in my Arc Map environment is known.
Thank you very much, Mrs. Heather, for your continuous and very useful comments. I will check the links you provided me, apply the steps and learn more. Greetings
