Next Wednesday, April 13th, a few members of the ArcGIS API for JavaScript team will be getting together to discuss some of the exciting new features in the 4.23 release. The best part is – you get to be a part of it! Join the livestream at 9am PDT next Wednesday to hear all about the latest and greatest in the API – directly from some of the engineers. We can’t wait to see you there!

For anyone interested in overlaying images in the 4.x API:
We now have the ability to overlay images in the /next early access repo (which will eventually release as version 4.24), and we are looking to get some feedback on it. The functionality is even better than 3.x… you can overlay both images and videos in 2D and 3D, and add/remove multiple images on the fly very easily.
Please share any feedback you have on this capability in the /next repo.
Thanks,
Julie
@NilsBabel1 ...good news! The ability to overlay images in 4.x like you could in 3.x (called MapImageLayer in 3.x) is well underway! We are targeting this capability for 4.24 (June 2022).
Thanks to everyone that joined us this morning, we had a good turnout! Our first YouTube live stream was fun and we made some notes for how we might make it even better next time.
Any update on porting the 3.x MapImageLayer to 4.x? The functionality matrix has said it is coming soon for years.
Hi,
Will this be recorded as this is 2am the next day in some regions of the World.
Edit: never mind - I found the Youtube Link.
