Ca not move down layer in Web Map

Question

Hello everyone,

I added a new layer to a Web Map that has several layers created from map services, and now when I try to Move Down the layer, I could only move 1 position. It looks like a regular layer can not move through layers that are created from map services.

Hello Jose,

Are you using Map Viewer Classic? Because another solution would be to use the new Map Viewer. The new Map Viewer supports reordering layers regardless of layer type. Please try the new Map Viewer, if possible.

Also, ArcGIS Dashboards support using web maps authored with the new Map Viewer. Dashboards Classic does not. Which dashboard are you using?

Are there multiple layers within the same map service that was added to webmap?

Try adding the layers individually (to the webmap) instead of adding the map service.

e.g. Instead of Adding https://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/USA/MapServer

you could add

https://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/USA/MapServer/0

https://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/USA/MapServer/1

https://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/USA/MapServer/2

https://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/USA/MapServer/3

These layer will be added individually, which can then be reordered.
