Simplify polygon feature with z-values taking into account the z-values.

Lets take the following example:

The exiting simplification tool will of course remove the point in the middle.

But a z aware tool will not.

Would treating the polygon boundary as a line and simplifying that in 3D work for you? If so, look to the Simplify3DLine GP tool.
