Feature Layer renders on CodePen, but does not render on Live Server (VSCode)

However, when I put it on my own machine to work on, I can only get the basemap to show up. The feature layer (soil map units) does not show up unfortunately. Why is this?

See screenshot. Looks like the connection to the feature service is getting blocked.

Not seeing any issues in Brave, Chrome, or Firefox.

Maybe it's a browser/network related issue. I'm on Linux if that matters.

This looks like it might be an issue with the Live Server extension.

I don't use it, but they provide some work arounds in their repo, maybe there is better solution there. Not related to Esri stuff.
