Pull data doesn't work on hidden questions?

I have a web form, in which location-related questions (lat&long, state, county, zip, address) are auto-populated by the pulldata function.  This works fine, but once I hide those questions the pulldata function stops to work.  Is this an expected behavior?

I haven't seen this behavior myself, pulldata questions functions seem to work fine. Can you share those parts of the XLS spreadsheet? Or specify which kind of pulldata is being used?

And can you do a test submission from Survey123 Connect to verify that the hidden pulldata questions are truly not working?
