inserting new data to attribute table

Question

Hi everyone,

I want to add new data from an excel file to an existing attribute table in ArcMap. I don't want to add another field to my table. I just want to add new rows with new data.

How can I do this?

Hi Dan,

I did used the merge tool. It combined both layers in the map. But when I did so, I lost one of my layer's attributes. Why did this happen?

Append ... is the term you are looking for.
