Complemento de gestión de redes de fibra para ArcGIS Pro en la solución Communications Data Management en ArcGIS Online

Hola, Estamos considerando la posibilidad de migrar del antiguo sistema de gestión de redes de fibra basado en CAD a la solución ArcGIS Communications Data Management<\/A> y la utilización del complemento Fiber network management en ArcGIS Pro. He entendido que para gestionar la red de fibra siempre se recomienda usar un complemento de terceros en Pro, o como aplicación de navegador. ¿He entendido correctamente? Ahora estoy recopilando información y experiencias sobre las soluciones más ligeras y rentables para la gestión de redes de fibra. ¿Qué complemento para redes de fibra recomiendan para ArcGIS Pro y la solución Communications Data Management basada en Online? La red de fibra funciona localmente y no es muy grande. Las conexiones de red de fibra, la gestión de los armarios de fibra y otros flujos de trabajo deberían estar incluidos en la solución, por lo que necesitamos un complemento para el flujo de trabajo de gestión de redes de fibra ya sea en ArcGIS Pro o basado en navegador. Great question! This is something a lot of folks working with fiber networks in ArcGIS Enterprise are curious about.

You might find this StoryMap helpful: Telecom Network Management. It gives a nice, visual overview of how ArcGIS Utility Network can be used to model and manage telecom networks. It walks through real-world examples and concepts like connectivity, tracing, and asset management in a spatial context.

It’s a good way to get familiar with what’s possible, especially if you're exploring options or just starting to build out your fiber management workflows.

Hi @JuhaHaanpera, there are two ArcGIS solutions for telecom network management. Communications Data Management and Communications Utility Network Foundation. Communications Data Management leverages hosted feature layers and is used for basic asset mapping and high-level design planning. It does not leverage the utility network. Communications Utility Network Foundation leverages the utility network and supports fiber strand documentation and network tracing. This solution does not provide a splicing tool so the only way to create connectivity associations is by using the out of the box associations panel in ArcGIS Pro or the API, which is not ideal for managing many strands and splices, which is why many users leverage partner solutions.
