ArcGIS Pro 1.2 or 1.3 crashes during initialization

Question

ArcGIS Pro 1.2 and 1.3 (tried both!) crashes during initialization.

Installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard SP1, accessed via Citrix XenApp 6.5

Also have this problem with ArcGIS Earth.

ArcGIS Desktop 10.3 works fine in same environment.

Have been working with ESRI tech support for past 3-4 weeks troubleshooting this issue.

Does anyone have similar issues?

Not for you specifically, since tech support is on this, ArcGIS Pro 1.3 system requirements—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS for Desktop

recently, someone was having 'issues' that they attributed to their virus protection.  In some cases crashing, in others slowing the system.

So other than the obvious solutions that you have looked, tech support is you recourse unless someone with the exact same conditions can weigh in.
