Esearch Widget's Export to CSV is empty when Add Result as Operational Layer is not checked

Hello Robert Scheitlin, GISP‌, we are using the esearch widget and noticed the export to csv produces an empty table when add results as operational layer is not checked. Is this expected behavior?
