How to check if dataset is being edited?

How to check if Dataset (or at least Table) is being edited with ArcGIS Pro SDK? In ArcObjects there is the method IDatasetEdit.IsBeingEdited.

There is no current way to check if a dataset is being edited before attempting an edit operation on it in pro.

Can you elaborate on what your workflow is and how this method would help.
