Anybody get this error? I tried using the same layers in ArcMap and it accomplished the task but it kept failing in Pro.

Hi Michael,

Check the feature template for the polygon layer you are using.

Edit tab > Features group > Create > 
click this button to open Manage Templates:

From Mange Templates, find the template you are using and open its properties:

From the Attributes tab, check to see if you have any values in the fields with domains that fall out of range for the domain like so:
