Operations Dashboard: Scalebar

Question

Hi all,

I am building a dashboard to be used by property managers in our organization, and they would like to see a scalebar on the map widget. The map was built first in AGOL (which includes the scalebar), but this functionality is not included in the Ops Dashboard map widget. I have had a look at the widgets available on GitHub but so far I have not come across a custom widget which will accomplish this.

Has anyone else encountered this issue and found a solution?

This would be a great addition to the next dashboard, will add to ArcGIS Ideas. In the interim I will look into creating a custom map widget.

Hi Merrisha,

In regards to the core product:

We don't have this in the currently released Operations Dashboard desktop, but it's something we can look at including in the new one in development.

I haven't seen any custom ones made, since you would need a custom map widget, but it might be possible by creating a custom JavaScript widget for the app.
