How to insert a map template into web AppBuilder

I need to insert a map template into web AppBuilder, the map template is as the following:

Is that possible that this template can be opened in the WAB Developer Version and meanwhile, all the ESRI widgets can still work with this map template? Thanks!

This would be VERY difficult as the templates are full configurable multi file apps that have responsive designs. There would be many conflicts in the code bases that would make this a near complete re-write of the template to fit into the WAB application design.
