Esri Maps for Office, possible to edit feature service?

Hi All,

I'm trying to familiarize myself with the ESRI Maps for Office Addin.  I'm looking for a way to update an existing published feature service through Excel using the add-in.  Does anyone know if this is possible?

Unfortunately it is not possible to edit an existing feature service in Maps for Office. However, if you originally shared the layer from Maps for Office you can update it from the add-in.
