How to Connect to ArcGIS Online using ArcGIS for Personal Use

Question

I recently purchased ArcGIS for Personal Use. I used my old (very old) ESRI Login. I was able to get ArcGIS Desktop running, but cannot connect to ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS online.

It doesn't recognize my software authorization for ArcGIS Pro, and it tells me I have a public account. I cannot figure out how to connect my "Organization" to my personal account for ArcGIS Online.

With ArcGIS for Personal Use license, you should receive

* ArcGIS Online Named User Account

It could be different from your public account. Contact Esri Support if you haven't received any details regarding the Named User Account.

Once you receive the details and activate your Named User Account, you can configure the member to use ArcGIS Pro license. Manage licenses—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS
