I'm working on displaying a vessels position that I can get from here http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/index/positions/all/shipid:695950/mmsi:503538000/shipname:TAL%20STAR/_:6012a2741fdfd… by automatically downloading the table and populating a database is it possible to display a track line as a bread crumb and including the objects heading for lets say the last 25 reported positions?

Probably the easiest way would be to use the Tracking Analyst extension. ArcGIS Tracking Analyst | Features
Otherwise this should be possible with some Python code.
