I used Solocator to geotag photos and now when I run the Geotagged photos to points tool it says the folder is empty, but the photos are visible in the folder in the catalogue. Help please!

It is likely the software vendor that you used does not write the coordinate metadata in a format this geoprocessing tool can read.
