counting overlapping linear events

Question

When plotting out events along a linear asset, in my case track faults along a railway track, how can i get a count of the number of faults dislayed along the railway? It would be very useful to see where clusters of faults occur along the railway track.

The faults are plotted using dynamic segmentation along the linear asset ,railway track.

Use Spatial Join to assign the line ID of the nearest line to each track fault (are these points?). Then, Summary Statistics to get the count for each line.
