Embedding Web Map in Website-Controlling Defaults

When I share my web map with the embed in website option and copy the code into a page, the default seem to be to just show an arrow that opens either the Legend or Details panel as shown below.

I find this rather unattractive and makes it more time consuming to set the right default extent for my map because I have to keep going back and forth between my web site page and arcgis online.

I am therefore wondering if there is a simple way that I can alter the code to tell ArcMap to embed the map with either the Legend or the Details page open?

Hi,

Try adding some url parameters to the embed url using the following documentation:

Use URL parameters to modify embedded maps—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS

The following parameters will show the embedded web map with the legend opened when the map is launched:

active_panel=legend&legend=true&show_panel=true&
