Andrew,

Strange thing is I copied all the files over to a clean FlexViewer (i.e. replacing the index.template.html and giving it a google api key for my site, etc, etc), but the new division that is added never get the google streetview panorama. I put alerts in the the streetview.js to ensure that it was getting to the javascript function. I do like the drag and drop of the googleman though. I am not thrilled with the addition of the division to the main app widow though, screen real estate is to precious now a days and there is some possiblity of not being compliant with Goggles T&C.

I noticed the pano doesn't show up in Firefox. I'm using IE 7.0.

That was my issue I hardly ever use ie anymore I always use firefox. That is going to be a major downfall for your widget if it is only ie compatible.

This is why I posted the code. I will start looking for a work-around for Firefox etc. I will also look at Google's T&C, it was our preference to have the pano embedded in the application. I've set it to 250px in height but others can set that to whatever height they prefer in js file. I also liked the fact that it minimizes on the widget minimize and close events. Thanks for your comments.

I have the uncompiled up and running in IE 8. As stated above it's a no go in Chrome, etc. Nice so far...

That's good to hear. Easy setup eh! This issue with Firefox, chrome etc. is the dynamic creation of the pano div. I have a js function that calls, "body.appendChild(div)", not supported in these browsers. Anybody have an idea?

I like your changes. The only FEATURE now is that when you minimize and maximize the panaorama div does not come back automatically.

That was intentional. If people want to see that though, it's a very easy implementation. Thanks for your comments, that's the only way app's get better.

I found a couple bugs in the javascript this morning pertaining to the widgetclosed event and the pageresize event. They have been corrected and reposted. Changes can be made to the streetview.js file or you can download the updated widget.

Hello. I've downloaded the streetview and have followed the directions as stated in the readme.txt

When I run my project the icon shows up at the top and I'm able to click on that and come up w/the popup window that says to click the person on the right and put it on a street on the map. I do that but then nothing else happens after that.

I also created a google account and obtained a google key - which I've placed in the index.template.html as directed.

Any clue as to what I might be doing incorrectly?

Once the widget opens and you can see the text that say click icon to start..... click it. Don't try to drag and drop it. This activates the drawtool. Now click on a street and you should be good to go. You will not get any street view if there is none available where ever you are selecting. If this doesn't help please let me know, this is the first complication with the latest version I have heard.

Yes, the compiled version works and it shows that Google has streetview available for my area of interest as well.

Perhaps I am doing something incorrect w/my implementing of the widget?

I do not get the Google window at the bottom of the screen to open when I place my little person on a street as it does in the compiled version.

Hello Andrew,
I am having complications with the compiles version of the streetview widget.

I have downloaded the Streetview widget, copied the Streetview folder from the downloaded compiled folder, then pasted it to my viewers widget folder. I have also update the index.html from my viewer to include the google api code and the key I got from google.

When I run my viewer the streetviewer icon apprears and also the popup. I click on the graphic and then click on the street (a street where there is google images), but I get no results or no additional popups.

Can you please help identify what may be the issue.

That little line has all the Javascript functions for allowing Flex to speak with the Streetview API.

Also,

In the index.html file search for the word "theApp" in my file. This will also need to be in your file for the communication between the flash functions and the javascript functions. If you havn't done any customization to your html file I suggest overwriting it with what I supplied. Let me know if this helps, I'm always available to help.

I follwed the instructions given in readme.txt file of StreetViewWidget3.zip file to integrate StreetviewWidget in my project with newly created google api key, and that has been updated in index.template.html. Widget invocation is happening but the street view window is not shown up at the bottom.
Any help would be apprecieated.

I have a suspicion that the casing is wrong. Check that the Casing on the streetview widget matches. I will post an update to help this.

Appreciate for the quick response.
I took the latest source code from the hyperlink just now and copy pasted as is according to the readme.txt instructions and updated with new api key. Still the bottom streetview doesn't shows up.

I am using uncompiled version. I haven't tried compiled version yet.

My environment is:

- Jdk 1.6.21.
- FlexBuilder 4. (eclipse 3.5) IDE.
- Flex 4.
- BlazeDS 4 (to get configuration info from database not from xml configuration files for viewer).
- Flexviewer 2.2.
- Weblogic 11g (10.3.4) to deploy viewer as serverside web application.
- ArcGIS 10 (For Mapservices).
- Oracle 10g database (all the xml configurations information to be stored in it).
- Flash player 10.
- everything on top of windows xp.

Looking like it is not at all invoking the javascript function from the 'StreetviewWidget.as' actionscript class. I placed couple of alert statments in 'loadStreetview' method of javascript file, and when I run the application, this function is not invoking, doesn't shows up any alerts that I have kept.

I am not getting any idea that what I am missing here.
