Spiral curves

Question

Has anybody worked with the Parcel Edit Helper add-in?

The legal description does not provide a start and end radius. How would I go about mapping this?

thence on a spiral curve right (the long chord of which bears South 88° 40' 58" West 199.96 feet) 200 feet

Hi Anna, the spiral is typically used to transition from one circular arc to another, or else to transition from a straight line into a circular arc, or from circular arc into a straight line. So the snippet of the legal description you have above is, on its own, not enough information. To use the spiral tool you'd need to use the information from the prior and subsequent calls, and get the radii from each of those. If one of the prior or subsequent calls is a straight line, then you'd use the "INFINITY" string for that particular side.
