Do ESRI AMIs use the same builds that I'm downloading

I'm setting up an ArcGIS Server deployment on AWS and had rolled my own AMIs with server pre-installed. Some on my team had heard that the ESRI public AMIs use a special build targeted to AWS.  I've done some looking and I don't see that referenced anywhere.  Is this actually (still) the case today? And if so, is there anything online I can reference?

Hey Josh,

Esri AMIs use the same builds as our on-prem installers and function the same whether installed via AMI or installed by running the wizard. I did look for an online reference but wasn't able to locate one in our documentation.
