2D layer labels not displaying in a 3D scene? any ideas why?

Hello,

I am creating a 3D scene and I want to label a 2D layer to show road names. The settings for my labels are all set up, but just not displaying in the scene. The 3D layer labels are displaying just fine.

I have no idea why.. Is this just not possible in a 3D scene?

You will have to drag or copy and paste your 2D layer and place it under the 3D layers group in order for the labels to display. Only 3D layers can be labelled. 

I occasionally copy the layer and have it in both the 2D layers group (for display reasons) and also in 3D layers group (for labeling reasons).
