Este estudio explora formas de mejorar tu experiencia de creación de mapas<\/STRONG> en ArcGIS Online y ArcGIS Pro. <\/P>Para este estudio, nos interesa conocer el proceso de creación de mapas de las personas que utilizan ArcGIS Online, y que nos expliquen un mapa reciente que hayan creado. A quienes completen el estudio se les ofrecerá una tarjeta de regalo de $80 como agradecimiento por su tiempo*Para este proyecto, buscamos personas dispuestas a compartir su proceso de construcción de un mapa que tenga: <\/P>5 o más capas<\/LI>Haya sido creado en los últimos 90 días<\/LI><\/UL>Estas sesiones se usan únicamente con fines de investigación y desarrollo, y no se compartirán externamente. It is always good to hear from Esri Community! To the extent of my understanding, I do believe that the study of the map-building process will cover all major issues related to user experience while clearly distinguishing between a basic map and a professionally designed one. It comprehensively addresses every stage of development, including data preparation, proper database management, application of cartographic principles, advanced symbology, scale range configuration, and effective map sharing.
The study further explains that creating maps using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online involves distinct methodologies and specific technical requirements that must be carefully followed to achieve professional results. It also highlights common map-making mistakes, such as using shapefiles instead of a geodatabase, failing to remove unnecessary fields, or neglecting to set appropriate scale ranges.
In addition, the study addresses concerns regarding transparency in credit consumption, noting that the unexpected depletion of 1,000 credits from an ArcGIS Online account, without prior notification or clear explanation, underscores the need for improved monitoring tools, detailed usage reporting, and proactive alert systems to ensure accountability and prevent unforeseen resource loss.
I appreciate the idea of using incentive gift cards. From my perspective, it might not fully match the brand experience you’re building, engagement that feels authentic and meaningful often resonates more than purely transactional rewards.
