Labeling idea

Attention Esri developers, please implement restoring cross-layer label deconfliction in ArcGIS online web maps.  The label conflicts created by taking this away are making our maps un usable and nobody asked for such.  Please take the polygon labeling engine back to how it used to be, as far as label conflicts between similar layers.

 

We DO want label placement strategies, such as label position within polygon, stacked labels, etc.

I actually CAN think of cases where I want both instances of conflicting labels to show, so the old method isn't necessarily a permanent solution either, for me.

What we really need are toggleable/alterable deconfliction rules, rather than any hardcoded backend rules.

Still, I'm Kudoing this idea because reverting is at least very marginally better than the current conflicts.
