Hide Barrier in Route Layer?

I'm creating Route Layers for street segments with a specified route. I had to add a Barrier to ensure the Directions chose my preferred route. How can I hide this barrier so that the orange line does not appear on my map? Sincerely, an ArcGIS newbie. Thank you!

It's likely going to be part of the Route Layer in the Layer List which you can expand and turn off by clicking the eye symbol, or it's a Sketch Layer you can again turn off by clicking the eye symbol.
