Sharing Specific URL Location for a New Map Viewer (not Classic)

Question

In the Classic map viewer you can hit the share button and it comes with a unique URL for that map at the zoom scale and XY location.  How do I do that in the New Modern Map Viewer?  I know that I can add the XY via &extent  but it was nice to have the system do it

Hi @BradGeorgic,

You're right, at this time you can set the extent and scale using custom URL parameters. We are working on providing support for a new Embed experience for Map Viewer that will simplify the process. Keep an eye out for that with future updates of ArcGIS Online.
