It would be great if you could trace other lines or polygons when drawing in the web editor. We have several workflows that require lines to be stacked, and a trace line option like in Pro would be great!
@TimLohnes1 The Trace tool is one of our top priorities and planned for an upcoming release. I apologize that the tool isn't available, we are working with the Maps SDK for Javascript team on underlying framework changes that are needed before the tool is available.
I don't understand why this isn't available. Web Editor has so much promise but appears to be missing one of the most critical features. Not usable for us currently as others have said.
@JoeyZalman the Trace tool is in the product plan. It will not be available in the next release, which is later this month, however, we're aiming to have it available in one of the releases to follow. However, it's to early in the work to assign it to a specific release.
Hi@CraigGillgrass, have there been any updates on this? My organization also can't implement the web editor in some of our workflows until this tool is available.
or if you can choose do you wanna trace complete line feature of some of it. If you choose complete and you click start/end point of line it's start follow line from there to end when map pan at end point., after that you can add vertex or continue trace next line if needed.
or if can add snap -box "snap to line" what do that same.
Z-coordinate must be on ( or can choose )
@MarvinDavis there is not, the Trace tool is in the product plan but no release has been assigned.
Hey @CraigGillgrass, is there any update to the timeframe to Trace being a feature in Web Editor?
hello @JFujikawa , we understand the need for the Trace tool, it's still in the product plan but no release has been assigned.
@CraigGillgrass Being able to trace is key to our data entry workflow. We won't be using web editor until this functionality is added (well, that and buffering points and lines). I thought was mentioned to be in the update that just happened, but I guess not. Please add this sooner rather than later!
hello @Amanda__Huber not at this time, it's still in the product plan but no release has been assigned.
Hi @CraigGillgrass ,
Our organization is also in need of this tool's functionality, is there any update for when this will be released?
Thanks,
Amanda Huber
This is in our product plan but we don't have a release assigned to it.
