merging small polygons with the biggest adjacent one

Question

Hello,

I have a polygon shapefile with almost 100,000 records, around 80,000 are small polygons that i'd like to merge to the biggest polygon adjacent to each one of them. I can't use dissolve cause i need the little polygons to change their attributes to the largest nearest one. 
Obviously i'm looking for an automatic solution, otherwise it would take me months of selecting each small polygon and then dissolving it with the nearest one by hand.

Any ideas?

Hi Ana,

As long as the polygons are touching, you could use the Eliminate tool if you have ArcInfo.

Thanks for your reply, yeah, my polygons are in the same future class.
And unfortunately i dont have ArcInfo, but i'll check if i can use the Eliminate tool in ArcEditor. Just check the link you left and seems that it's just what i need. Now only to solve the "little detail" of ArcInfo licensing.
